Toastmasters provides a friendly and supportive environment for people to develop and enhance their communication and leadership skills.
Public speaking is one of the biggest fears that people have, yet it is also a necessary skill in life. Toastmasters has created a program to take members through the tools of good public speaking, from eye contact and body language to working with visual aids to how to present different types of speeches.
Toastmasters provides a variety of speech settings, from prepared and impromptu speeches to chairing meetings or evaluating speakers.
Toastmasters has a leadership program that provides opportunities for members to develop and learn a variety of leadership skills including running meetings or workshops, providing feedback and evaluations and organizing activities.
Toastmasters can help you:
- Communicate more effectively
- Enhance your listening skills
- Think and speak on your feet
- Prepare and present speeches
- Manage nervousness and fear of public speaking
- Develop leadership skills
